Siesta Key is a coastal town on the Gulf Coast of Florida on the northern end of the eight-mile-long barrier island of the same name. It is known for its pristine beaches and vibrant nightlife. Canals wind throughout the town, and many homes are waterfront properties. Siesta Key North Bridge and Stickney Point Bridge connect the island to Florida’s mainland and offer easy access to downtown Sarasota. This makes it a convenient location for commuters who work on the mainland but yearn for a life on the island.
Ocean Boulevard is the town’s main thoroughfare and boasts a variety of tropical bars, trendy boutiques, and casual restaurants concentrated in Siesta Key Village. Every year, vacationers from all over the world flock to the island on spring break to experience the magic of this lively coastal oasis with its nightlife and picturesque beaches.

Siesta Key Village is the shopping and dining district in Siesta Key with a variety of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. Summer House is a sophisticated yet laid-back steakhouse with a seafood twist. It prides itself on serving only top-quality hand-selected cuts, fine wines, and signature tropical cocktails, like its Siesta Key salt and Siesta Key rum.
Cafe Gabbiano is the town’s premier Italian restaurant with an ambient fine dining experience. In addition to authentic Italian fare, it has a vast collection of rare wines hand-selected by an esteemed in-house sommelier.
With two outdoor patios and a tropical dining experience, The Cottage is another fantastic dining option. It is known for its innovative global cuisine using fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients.
The Lobster Pot is a unique and popular seafood restaurant on the island. Drawing on New England and Portuguese culinary traditions, it serves dishes like Portuguese kale soup and Maine lobster tail.

Things to Do
Siesta Key has abundant recreational activities and events that are fun for all ages. Siesta Key Beach is the most popular of the three main beaches on the island and has garnered a reputation for being one of the most pristine and clean beaches in the United States. In 2020, it was certified by the Clean Beach Coalition as a Blue Wave Beach for being exceptionally clean and environmentally managed. It provides lifeguards, tennis courts, volleyball courts, and bathroom facilities. It is also a popular spring break location attracting people from all over the country.
Siesta Key has no shortage of fun and exciting family-friendly events. The Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition is a four-day event held every May where professional, and amateur sand sculptors gather to create and showcase their sand masterpieces, some standing over 10 feet tall!
Every day at sunset, locals, visitors, and service members of the community congregate to pay their respects to those who serve our country by taking part in the Patriot’s Pier Sunset Ceremony. Attendees pay their respects by saluting a collection of United States military service flags on the shores of Siesta Beach as the sun sets over the island.
Siesta Key Light Up the Village and Holiday Parade are long-standing traditions in the community. Every year during the holiday season, the community comes together to watch the parade of holiday-themed floats cruise down Ocean Boulevard.
